2002
Prestige Color began more than 50 years ago as Armstrong World Industries, a full-service, in-house graphics and print production facility. Craig Arnold acquired the operation in 2002. In 2003, the company added their first Flexographic press that added pressure-sensitive label production to their growing list of services. They also added their first digital production press, a Kodak NexPress which marked the company's entry into the digital color printing market. The new press allowed digital color production without plates for the first time.
Recently
In recent years, Prestige Color has switched their operating system to the EFI Pace System which integrates all of our fiery digital devices with a digital storefront to facilitate web-based ordering. The company continues to evolve as the printing industry changes, yet maintains its focus as a total solutions-based company that strongly integrates the customers' needs with its service offerings. They also added a third production facility with 5 employees in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
2005
In 2005, the company purchased a new 5-color 29" Heidelberg press to increase printing efficiency and offer additional printing capabilities.
2010
In 2010, James Miklos joined the ownership with the acquisition of Prestige Color. The resulting acquisition added 2 more Heidelberg presses to the operation, one 6-color unit and a 5-color unit. In 2011, Lancaster Reprographics and Prestige Color consolidated their operations into their current location and changed the company name to Prestige Color. The company continues to maintain a satellite production in Columbia, PA.
Today
Today the company has grown to include over 50 employees and is firmly focused on helping customers save money on both the hard and soft costs associated with printing. Their unique operation is setup to offer the most assistance to medium and large businesses, providing integrated solutions that provide total document management, digital printing capabilities and online access.
